What was a war childhood for you? This question is the foundation of our upcoming international exhibition Childhood under the Siege_Sarajevo 1992-1995.
Through a powerful collection of 38 stories, we invite you to step into the lives of children who experienced the Siege of Sarajevo, Bosnia—the longest siege in modern history, lasting an astonishing 1,425 days. As you immerse yourself in their stories, you will come to understand the true value of peace.
The testimonies and objects on display were donated by those who experienced the war as children. Each story presented reveals diverse facets of this complex experience, highlighting the profound impact of war on children, as well as their resilience, strength, and capacity to navigate the challenges of life during and after conflict.
Join us on a warm spring day at the Seoul Museum of History, where we will gather to bear witness to these stories and the profound lessons they impart.
