The Seoul Museum of History has selected the districts among the Seoul Daily Life and Culture Materials and Survey Report that well describe their spatial characteristics and published an English book that could draw the attention of people around the world. Banpobon-dong, the target district for the year 2018, was published for this year. Banpobon-dong was where the development of Gangnam-gu began, and where the apartments first began to rise. Being the root of Gangnam-gu, it is a sophisticated cultural district and a forest of buildings which makes a magnificent view at night. To learn more about Banpobon-dong, please visit the National Museum Shop at the first floor of the museum, or the Seoul Bookstore and look for the English book “BANPOBON-DONG.” Seven more English books including “NAMDAEMUN MARKET,” “MYEONG-DONG,” “SINCHON,” and “BUKCHON” are also awaiting to share you diverse stories from each district of Seoul (all publications are available to order online at the Seoul Bookstore website (store.seoul.go.kr).)
